Rumor: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes will be revealed for exchange next month

Pokémon Diamdon and Pearl

Next month, on February 27, 25 years have passed since the release of the original Pokémon Game Boy titles.

This also happens with “Pokémon Day” and, as usual, there will probably be a special presentation to follow. So, what can coaches around the world expect, if there are big announcements?

Spanish fansite Centro Pokémon says sources close to the project have confirmed remakes of DS titles Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are in development and will be revealed next month. This is an approximate translation, courtesy of Google:

“The Pokémon Center can confirm that, according to sources close to the company, remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, are in development for the Nintendo Switch.”

These new versions apparently will not be it like the Pokémon: Let’s Go games released on the Nintendo Switch in 2018 and will have a style closer to the original DS releases of 2006.

Internal Pokémon Kelios – who happens to be also the webmaster of Pokekalos – backed up these last statements. A few days ago, they also mentioned how a Pokémon Direct would happen next month.
