Restaurant and retail employees are sharing the best and meanest revenge they have ever had on rude customers, from cleaning their flour to exchanging their espresso for decaffeinated.

TikTok user Darron Cardosa asked the question in the app this weekend, asking other users: ‘What did you do to a customer after he was rude to you?’

Dozens of people responded, revealing the petty and ridiculous ways in which they annoy customers who might be more police officers.

While some stories reveal resignable offenses, others could never reasonably be attributed to the employee.

Darron, for example, never did anything wrong technically – he just did a little bit of effort to make his customers’ experience a little less pleasant than it could have been.

“As a waiter, sometimes, when rude customers ask for butter, I give them cold butter, even though I have butter at room temperature, because I know that cold butter will tear their bread,” he said.

Ebony Mallinson, however, confessed: ‘I barely mix their smoothies, so the little pieces block their straws.’

McKenzie Morrison had an equally petty tactic, which customers might not even notice – but at least it made McKenzie feel better.

“As a delicatessen worker, when a customer is a Karen, I squeeze the cheese after slicing it, so it’s impossible to separate later,” she said.

‘I work at a grocery store,’ said a woman named Rachael Hendrick in her video. ‘When rude customers don’t wear a mask, I will spray fart spray down the hall.’

The user @bree_ann_uhh, in turn, said that she and her fellow servers opted for the real thing.

“Scream for all the servers,” she wrote. ‘For rude customers, we plant dust – especially if you’re busy and loud and the music is playing and they definitely won’t listen to you. We collect dust. ‘

Canadian flight attendant Helena Handbasket said: ‘For rude customers, I reserve your seat on a 10-hour flight near the bathroom.’

A TikToker named Sammie did not just take revenge for rudeness, but blamed a police officer.

“A police officer came into my store without a mask on,” she said. ‘I said,’ Sir, the next time I come, I need you to put on a mask. ‘He looked me straight in the eye and said, “I have a health problem. What are you going to do about it?”

“I looked at his badge and then called the police department and told them. Since then, every time he enters, he is wearing a mask. Every time.’

Some of the behaviors, however, would probably have put employees in a little trouble if their bosses had known about them.

Stephanie Crnkovich said that when she worked as a barista, she gave decaffeinated espresso to rude customers instead of normal.

Geza Daniel Molnar said that while working at a hotel, he found guests who arrived late who did not tip him when he helped with luggage.

“I called them in the middle of the night,” he said.

User Chelsea Dickinson spilled her devilish trick, revealing: ‘I used to charge twice, so they had to wait in line for customer service to get a refund.’

And the user @ heather.blr did something similar at the supermarket where she worked,

“There were a lot of rude customers – I even had people throwing food at me and laughing at it,” she said.

‘So, I turn the fight off on your TV and leave notes for other employees not to turn it back on. The next day, I see that he called all night to restart the fight, and no one called him. I won.’
