The Vikings are working on reinforcing a defense that finished 27th in yards and 29th in points allowed last season.

They agreed to a deal with former Giants player Dalvin Tomlinson on Monday.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero now reports the Vikings are adding Nick Vigil, a former Chargers linebacker, for a one-year contract that includes more than $ 1 million guaranteed.

Vigil, 27, spent just one season with the Chargers. He played 15 games with two matches, seeing action in 312 defensive snaps and 216 on special teams.

Vigil recorded 50 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.

He started his career in Cincinnati after Bengals chose him for the third round in 2016.
