Texans have a new gambler.

Continuing a review of the list, Houston is signing a three-year, $ 8 million contract with Cameron Johnston with a $ 1 million signing bonus, according to Aaron Wilson of Houston Chronicle.

The Eagles chose not to offer Johnston earlier this month, after he spent the past three years as the club’s top bettor. Johnston averaged 47.0 yards per punt over that span.

Houston has now added 24 new players through negotiations and free agency, and rehired cornerback Vernon Hargreaves.

In addition to Johnston, his new additions are quarterback Tyrod Taylor, linebacker Tae Davis, linebacker Christian Kirksey, defensive back Maliek Collins, running back Mark Ingram, linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, pivot Justin Britt, cornerback Tavierre Thomas, defensive edge Derek Rivers, catcher Andre Roberts, offensive guard Justin McCray, tight end Pharaoh Brown, tight end Ryan Izzo, safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis, defensive tackle Vince Taylor, offensive guard Marcus Cannon, side Shaq Lawson, linebacker Joe Thomas, cornerback Terrance Mitchell, cornerback Desmond King, wide receiver Donte Moncrief and wide receiver Alex Erickson.
