Remaining DLC characters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate possibly leaked

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s remaining DLC characters possibly leaked. This week, Nintendo revealed Pyra and Mythra’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are coming into the game and filling the next Fighters Pass Volume 2 slot, which is slowly but surely coming to an end. In the process, Nintendo gave credit to a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leaked earlier this year that the word apparently conveyed from Pyra and Mythra being added before they were announced.

The leak in question dates back to early 2021, and stated that Nintendo was planning a special three-hour show in 2022 to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. At the time, many ruled out the leak instantly due to the fact that it came from 4chan, however, when listing the show’s track list, the leaker Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 right after the Angel theme with a Sephiroth wing. Why is this remarkable? Well, not only Pyra and Mythra are coming soon after Sephiroth, but that same song was used in the character reveal trailer. In other words, at the time, the leak suggested characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were next. And it turns out that they are.

Now, could the leak in question have been lucky? Certainly, but it was an incredible luck, since nobody expected Pyra and Mythra. That said, if the leak is genuine – and it looks like it might be – then Crash Bandicoot will come next, before a character from Monster hunter ends the Fighters Pass.

Of course, for now, all of this must be seen with a grain of salt. However, the recent announcement by Pyra and Mythra has Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players reexamining this leak, which can end up being legitimate. It wouldn’t be the first time that a random 4chan leak would end up being real, but it’s certainly not common.
