Sony is filling its PS5 calendar for 2021 with the news that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will arrive on June 11th. The game’s release date was originally (and vaguely) set for the PS5 “launch window”. The latest entry in the classic Insomniac Games series takes advantage of the fast hardware on the PlayStation 5 to instantly transport you from reality to another dimension.
If that big-leap technology and those gorgeous looks left you intrigued, but you’re a newbie to Ratchet & Clank, don’t worry. Insomniac says Rift Apart is a stand-alone game. You won’t have to play the previous entries to understand the story, but you still have a few months to catch up before it arrives.
Pre-order and you will get Carbonox armor from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003). The 2016 Pixelizer gun Ratchet & Clank it will also be yours as an early unlock. The standard version costs $ 70, while the deluxe digital edition costs $ 80. The latter includes five more sets of armor, a digital art book and soundtrack, a sticker pack for the photo mode and a little bit of Raritanium to help you upgrade your weapons faster.
