Psaki doesn’t call the flood of children on the border a ‘crisis’ – but here’s what she called a ‘crisis’

White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to describe the increase in unaccompanied migrant children on the U.S. border with Mexico as a “crisis”, but she repeatedly used that label when talking about issues during the former’s administration. President Donald Trump.

As the arrests of migrant children who illegally cross the border have continually increased under President Biden’s administration, Psaki has repeatedly refused to regard the situation as a “crisis”.

But Psaki described other issues in this way.

The White House press secretary referred to climate change as a “crisis” in a tweet that criticized the former Trump on the issue.

“It’s not just [COVID-19]…Where [Trump] ignored experts and science … this is also true of the climate crisis, “wrote Psaki in May last year.

A few weeks later, the White House press secretary called the armed violence “crisis” again and asked former Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke in a tweet to “take up arms”, saying “no one needs an assault weapon” in 2019.

In addition, Psaki referred to the presidency of Biden’s predecessor, Trump, as an “existential crisis” in a 2020 tweet when talking about the money of popular campaigns compared to the money of “liberal billionaires”.

Psaki did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment.
