PS5 refueling updates at Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, Sony and more

It has been months since Sony launched the PlayStation 5, but many players still failed to get their hands on the coveted console, even at major retailers such as Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, Walmart and Sony itself. If you are one of the many people who are still desperate to get a new console, you know what to do: you notice a drop in PS5 stock (probably on Twitter), you have hopes, you click frantically, wait in line and instead from that of a PlayStation 5, you get the inevitable “sold out” message. But don’t lose hope yet! Inventory drops are happening quite frequently and there are ways to improve your chances of stealing a console.

Our first tip: Don’t wait until you find out about the PS5’s refueling; check store inventory links for yourself daily or even several times a day. (We have them all lined up below.) If you have any PS5 availability, use as many browsers and devices as you can. On a desktop, for example, you can open the retailer’s page in Firefox, Chrome and Edge. Then, you can do the same on your phone and tablet. It’s like lottery tickets: the more you have, the better your chances of winning.

If you’re starting to crack and thinking about buying a PS5 now, you can do that, but at the cost of obscene markup on sites like eBay and StockX. On eBay, for example, we saw PS5s priced well over $ 1,000. At this point, we still think it’s worth waiting and getting the console for the price tag.

The PS5 is available in two versions: There is a $ 500 model with Blu-ray drive and an identical $ 400 digital version, with no disk input. At this point, people are happy to get their hands on anyone, but if you don’t have an optical disc library – for Blu-ray movies, used games or old PS4 games – CNET recommends that you go with the $ 400 version.

PS5 refueling possibilities

Best Buy is offering the PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500, as well as the $ 400 digital edition (which you can find by clicking the button below). The retailer is also offering a range of accessories on its PS5 homepage.

You can check the Amazon page for the $ 400 digital edition via the button below or, if you prefer, queue for the PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500.

You can check Walmart’s $ 400 digital edition inventory by clicking the button below, or you can try to steal the most expensive PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500.

Target offers the PS5 with Blu-ray for $ 500, in addition to the PS5 Digital Edition, which you can find by clicking the button below.

OK, you have exhausted all online and traditional retailers and have decided that you are willing to pay more than $ 300 to purchase this puppy soon. As your friends, we have to tell you: Do not do it. But if you don’t want to hear from us, take a look at StockX, an eBay alternative that made its name in the secondary market for designer sneakers and clothing. Last time we checked, PS5 prices were hovering just over $ 700.

If you’ve decided that you just can’t wait another moment for Sony to compose itself and flood the market with stock, eBay is a shortcut to getting your own PS5 now. That said, let me reiterate our advice: There is no point in spending hundreds of dollars on the PS5 above the list price, and that is exactly what you will have to do if you buy from an eBay dealer. The average price of the PS5 on eBay is around $ 900.
