PS5 Refueling: Sony Direct is sold out, see where to look next

If you’re looking for where to buy the PS5, Sony Direct had PS5 consoles in stock, but they sold out in less than thirty minutes. While we don’t expect anyone to get another PS5 refuel today, Amazon and GameStop both could replenish the PS5 overnight, which is why we advise potential buyers to check out our links to retailers below.

Sony Direct PS5 stocks are only active for a short period, but there is good news: they often appear to be opening the purchase queues during the week, so check regularly to see if they are back in stock.

That said, other retailers replenished the PS5 much more frequently in January, so we advise potential buyers to check out the links below for Amazon, GameStop, Target and Walmart – they are more reliable.

How to prepare for a Sony Direct PS5 stock drop

If you later join the queue, make sure to keep the browser sound on to hear the beep if you get to the front of the queue – it looks like seats are randomly assigned and, unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing if you’ll be able to get shares – as Sony says, just getting in line is no guarantee of stealing a console.
