Protester has no connection with the death of the Capitol policeman, person of interest in a separate incident

A photo of a protester who is interested in the US Capitol riot was released to the public on Tuesday.

Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy posted a photo on Twitter that he said the U.S. Capitol Police shared with him saying the man in the photo was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick.

Later, Senator Cassidy returned his initial statement, saying, “The Capitol Police informed me that this individual is a person of interest, but for a separate incident that occurred on Capitol Hill on January 6.”

Before the demonstration, protesters invaded the country’s capital to support President Donald Trump and challenge the results of the 2020 elections.

The president said the election result was fraudulent.

After the demonstration, a crowd marched to the Capitol building and quickly overpowered the police there.

Five people died as a result of the incident, which caused shock waves across the country.
