Prince Harry writes emotional message for bereaved children in new book

Prince Harry opened his mouth about the death of his mother, Princess Diana, in the preface to a new book created for children who lost a parent to COVID-19. Harry, who was 12 at the time of his mother’s death, wrote that despite the “hole” that the loss of a parent creates, their memories live on forever.

The book, “Hospital by the Hill”, tells the story of a child whose mother died of COVID-19 while working on the front lines of the pandemic. The book was made available free of charge to children in the UK.

“When I was a boy, I lost my mother. At the time, I didn’t want to believe or accept it, and it left a huge hole inside me,” wrote Prince Harry. “I know how you feel and I want to assure you that in time this hole will be filled with a lot of love and support. … when a father goes to heaven, his spirit, his love and their memories have not been told. . ”

“They are always with you and you can hold them forever.”

Diana, the Princess of Wales, died of injuries in a car accident in 1997. Diana’s car was chased by paparazzi before the accident.

Chris Connaughton, the author of the book, wrote on the book’s website that “writing about death is difficult” but that “talking about it can be even more difficult”. The book was created with the help of specialists in child mourning.

“It is always difficult and horrible to deal with the death of someone you love, losing someone who loved you,” wrote Connaughton. “… Whoever you are thinking of, I hope this story helps to make some of the difficult and horrible things a little easier.”

The book was released on Friday and was immediately received with praise on Twitter.

“Grief is difficult for an adult, but [for] a child is unimaginable “, a user said. “I lost my sister to COVID and my heart breaks every time I think of her and the pain she endured alone.”

The Duke of Sussex often speaks fondly of his late mother and often likens his experience of much criticism in the royal family to what his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is currently experiencing.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 7, he said that “all she ever wanted is for us to be happy” and that Diana would be “very angry” at the way Meghan has been treated since the couple married in 2018. He attributed his and Meghan’s ability to break your royal duties towards Diana.

“I brought what my mother left me,” he said to Winfrey. “And without that, we wouldn’t have been able to do that, so going back to what my mom would think of it, I think she saw it happen. I certainly felt her presence in this whole process.”
