Prince Harry tells James Corden that his grandfather Philip closes his laptop to end Zoom’s calls

Prince Harry has revealed that his grandfather, Prince Philip, knows how to use Zoom – but simply closes his laptop to end calls instead of pressing the Exit button.

The Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen called the Sussex ‘times’ and even saw Archie ‘running around,’ said Harry.

His comments came as part of an extensive chat conducted mainly during an open bus tour in Los Angeles with The Late Late Show host James Corden.

In an extraordinary moment, Harry plays the theme song for The Cool Prince of Bel-Air outside the mansion where he was filmed, before Corden made video calls to Meghan Markle, who calls her husband ‘Haz’.

The Duke of Sussex also opened up to James about his relationship with Meghan, his son Archie and his decision to leave royalty on the front lines, saying the pressure of being in London was “destroying his mental health”, labeling the British media of “toxic”.

The rare TV interview was taped before Prince Philip, 99, was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London, where he is being treated for an infection and today begins his 11th day.

Responding if the queen knows how to zoom, Prince Harry said: ‘Yes, my grandparents do.

– They zoomed in a few times, saw Archie running.

‘But my grandfather, instead of asking for leave, he just goes [Harry pretends to close laptop].

‘I say’ bye ‘as I press – and he just says [imitates closing laptop]. ‘

Harry also revealed that Prince Philip and the Queen sent Archie a waffle maker for Christmas.

He then described his son as “hysterical”, saying that his first word was “crocodile”.

Buckingham Palace’s last update on Prince Philip was on Tuesday and said he was “comfortable” and “responding to treatment”.

Her son, Prince Edward, also said this week that Philip was “much better” but “looking forward to going out” with the royal family, who kept his “fingers crossed”.

The Earl of Wessex thanked his supporters for their messages of support, as it was announced on Tuesday that Philip would spend another “several days” at the hospital.

He was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital, London, last Tuesday night, as a precautionary measure, after feeling ill, and entered the building without assistance.

This is the longest period of time he has spent in the hospital since June 2013, when he underwent an exploratory operation on his abdomen.

Philip’s 11th day in the hospital came when Harry’s interview was released, during which he described the couple’s decision regarding the real frontline duties, he said: ‘He never left. He was stepping back, instead of stepping back.

“It was a very difficult environment, which I think many people have seen. So I did what any parent would do and I thought, “How do I get my family out of here?”

‘But we never left.’

While the interview was conducted before the Queen stripped the Sussex of their royal patronage last week, Harry said: ‘My life is a public service, so wherever I am in the world, it will be the same.

‘As far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side [in Britain], I will never go away. ‘
