Prince Harry and Prince William may never again have the close relationship they had.
Royal author Angela Levin recently told Us Weekly that it will be difficult for the brothers to restore these ties after facing several obstacles in recent years.
“I don’t think they could be as close as they were before,” said Levin. “Prince Harry told me that William was the only person he could really trust, and the only person he could speak to because of the unique experience of losing a mother.”
“They have a lot in common, although they are very different personalities,” said Levin. “But I think it went too far.”

Levin, a veteran real-life journalist, published a book in 2018 entitled “Harry: A Biography of a Prince”, which was based on her exclusive conversations with the 36-year-old man at Kensington Palace before her royal wedding in May. 2018 with Meghan Markle.
On March 7, CBS aired a two-hour interview that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did with Oprah Winfrey, 67. During the television session, Harry revealed that his relationship with his father, Prince Charles, of 72, as well as with William, 38, broke up.
Markle, 39, described feeling so isolated and miserable within the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that a member of the royal family had “concerns” about the skin color of her unborn child.
The family member was not Queen Elizabeth II, 94, or Prince Philip, 99, according to Harry, sparking a wave of speculation about who it might be.

Harry also told Winfrey that the royal family cut him off in early 2020 after announcing plans to step aside from his roles. But he was able to guarantee the safety of his family because of the money his late mother, Princess Diana, left behind.
According to Levin, William is still upset about the things that were said about his wife, Kate Middleton, during the narration, which was seen by almost 50 million people worldwide. She also said that William, who is second in line to the throne, is “hurt” by the accusations of racism made against his family.
“He’s out there with a black cloud hanging over him, just like Prince Charles,” Levin told the channel.
Levin pointed out that their positions as older members of the royal family do not allow them to respond publicly to the accusations.

After the interview aired, Charles was asked by a reporter about the interview during a visit to a vaccine clinic in London, but remained silent. When William was approached during a visit to an East London school, he declared, “We are not a racist family.”
Thirty-six hours after the interview aired in the United States, Buckingham Palace issued a statement.
“The whole family is sad to hear how challenging the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement said. “The issues raised, particularly those of race, are worrisome. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family in particular.”
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear family members,” concluded the statement.

Rumors of a rivalry between the brothers first surfaced in 2019. At the time, real author and Vanity Fair correspondent Katie Nicholl said that after Markle and Harry announced their engagement in 2017, William became increasingly concerned with his younger brother and his turbulent romance with the American actress.
A similar claim was made in the bombastic book “Finding Freedom”.
“William was very concerned that the relationship had changed so quickly,” said Nicholl in the TLC documentary “Kate V. Meghan: Princesses at War?” “And being close to Harry, you know, probably the only person close enough to say to Harry, ‘This seems to be happening fast. Are you sure?’ And I think what was meant to be a well-intentioned fraternal council just pissed off Harry. “
“Harry is extremely protective of Meghan,” continued Nicholl. “He saw it as a criticism, he interpreted it as if his brother was not really behind this marriage, this union. And I don’t think things have been going well since then.”

Harry suggested a feud with his older brother in the 2019 ITV documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African journey”.
“Part of that role and part of that work, that family, being under pressure that is under pressure, things inevitably happen,” he said at the time. “But look, we are brothers, we will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment, but I will always be there for him and I know that he will always be there for me.”
During the interview with Winfrey, Harry said that he “will always be there” for his brother, despite the differences.
“I love William in pieces,” said Harry. “He’s my brother. We went through hell together. But we are on different paths.”

After Harry and Markle were married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to welcome the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair was seen as a new youthful face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.
It didn’t take long for the fairy tale to unravel.
The couple moved away from royal duties last year and ended up settling in California, saying they wanted to escape racist coverage and unwanted intrusions into their privacy by the British media.
