Prince Charles has remained silent until now about the claims of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey, but he does not want to.
The Prince of Wales allegedly wanted to strike back with a detailed, “point-by-point” refutation of the allegations made by his son and daughter-in-law, according to The Sun.
The 72-year-old man was reportedly “deeply” upset by the allegations of racism and the fact that Harry said Charles had stopped taking his calls.
Harry also said that Charles and his brother, Prince William, are “trapped” in the family system and cannot leave because they will be the next heirs.

“There were different reactions when the palace was deciding what to do,” a source told the channel. “Um, to consider the Queen’s opinion, issue a silent statement saying that we are unhappy to know that they were unhappy. But Prince Charles wanted to refute, point by point, the claims that were made,” said the source, adding that the royal family decided against this. “
Prince Harry said in his interview with Oprah Winfrey that his father, Prince Charles, has stopped taking his calls.

Queen Elizabeth issued her statement on Tuesday. It said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the extent of the challenge that the past years have been for Harry and Meghan. William independently responded to allegations of racism when questioned by a reporter at an event on Thursday.

Markle, who is biracial, said in the interview that she was so isolated and miserable as a hardworking member of the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. She also said that Harry told her that there were “concerns and conversations” by a member of the royal family about the color of her baby’s skin when she was pregnant with her child, Archie.
On Monday, Winfrey told Gayle King that, despite putting pressure on Prince Harry “on camera” about who was part of those conversations, he said nothing.
