Prince Charles ‘deeply hurt’ by Prince Harry’s interview: report

Prince Charles is determined to “fix the broken relationship” with his son, Prince Harry – although he remains “deeply hurt” by his damn TV reveal, according to a report.

The 72-year-old heir to the throne suffered some of the harshest attacks during the interview – and initially wanted to refute his son and daughter-in-law’s claims point by point.

But, “after much thought, he also realized that nothing good will result in prolonging the fight,” one of Charles’s friends told The Mail on Sunday.

“He feels it is time to heal. Now is the time to fix a broken relationship, ”said the friend.

“His mood is that of a father, not a statesman,” said the friend to the channel.

During the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry said he was “hurt” and felt “disappointed” with his father, admitting that it would be too much work to heal the relationship.

Still, Charles plans to “get in touch” in the coming weeks, “possibly in writing, possibly through a video call,” the source told the UK newspaper.

“The Prince has a real desire to return to the intimate relationship he has had with Harry for a long time,” said the friend.

Charles’s wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is comforting him, the source said. “She can see how upset the husband is. She just wants to fix it, ”said her friend.
