Wide receiver Josh Gordon was added to the Seahawks squad on Monday, but Tuesday brought the news that he won’t be on the roster when they face the Rams this weekend.
Gordon returned to the exempt list because he did not comply with the terms of his reinstatement of a suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll did not detail what caused Gordon’s change in status, but suggested that he could play for the team in Week 17.
“Certainly disappointed that I didn’t have him because of him and for many things, but let’s keep that and see what happens next week”Said Carroll, via KJR and PFT’s Curtis Crabtree.
Gordon will be able to participate in team meetings and do individual exercises, which also happened in the first two weeks of his conditional reinstatement.
