Claire Miller, 14, was arrested at the scene on Monday and charged with murder as an adult for the death of her sister.

The teenager called the police shortly after 1 am on Monday to report that “she had killed her sister,” said Lancaster County Prosecutor.

Claire Miller took the officers to a room where they found Helen lying on her back with her hands close to her head and a bloodstained pillow covering her face, according to a police complaint obtained by Lancaster Online.

The investigators determined that Helen had been stabbed with what was described as a “big knife” during the night, while the girls’ parents slept.
