COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – A pedestrian died Sunday morning after a car accident at an intersection in downtown Colorado Springs.
The woman was cruising in Nevada and Colorado just before 11 pm on Saturday when she was hit by a Toyota sedan. According to police, the victim was in the crosswalk, but crossing a red light. The car had a green light. In addition to having priority, the police believe that the driver was sober and intact at the time of the accident.
The first respondents tried rescue measures at the scene before an ambulance could transport the victim. She later died in the hospital and was not identified at the time of writing.
The accident remains under investigation.
