Paradox Interactive’s annual fan event, PDXCON, is going digital this year. This announcement was made today during the PDX Insider, a different digital event.

Due to covid-19, PDXCON is going digital. The new event is officially called PDXCON Remixed. PDXCON is an annual fan showcase that Paradox Interactive was hosting since 2017. They usually announce some great games, new updates for existing games and trigger future announcements

This new version, announced today during a different digital event, will run from May 21st to 23rd. Paradox Interactive says people can expect panels, game announcements and other news. But everything will be broadcast online, just like everything else today. PDXCON Remixed it will be free and you can sign up here.

Paradox says it will reveal a new Paradox Development Studio game during the event.

It’s a little strange to announce a digital event during a digital event, which was something that Paradox CMO Daniel Goldberg joked on Twitter. But the PDX Insider was not just a showcase held to announce a different event. During the hour-long broadcast, Paradox also announced thatme other things.

  • Crusader Kings III ‘s first DLC will be released next week. You can read more about it here.
  • Surviving Mars is getting more content. Paradox brought in a new developer to continue working on the game. A free update will be released on March 15 with a focus on tourism. And still this year, the game will have a new expansion with all the features.
  • THE Stellaris The Nemesis expansion will arrive on the PC on April 15. Meanwhile, the console version of the game will receive a new alien species, Lithoids, on March 25.
  • Empire of sin goes to the Xbox Game Pass on March 18.
