Olivia Rodrigo’s driver’s license debuts first on the UK charts

And there’s more: the 17-year-old singer-songwriter also had the biggest opening week of general sales on the charts, with a first debut in five years since Zayn’s “Pillowtalk” in 2016. And she’s one of the most young people scoring a number 1 song in the UK before their 18th birthday, aged 17 and 10 months old. Jawsh 685 joined the club aged 18 or under at the top of the charts in July, when he scored the first single with “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)”, alongside Jason Derulo, and topped the charts for three weeks at 17 years and 7 months old.

Spotify confirmed for Advertising panel which, on Monday, “Driver’s License” beat the record for the platform with the highest number of streams in one day for a song outside the holiday, with more than 15.17 million global streams (and that on Tuesday, the music continued to beat its own record, with more than 17.01 million streams). “Driver’s license” also covered Spotify’s world and American premiere tables.
