Olivia Jade Giannulli remembers being ‘publicly embarrassed’ by Lori Loughlin, the Mossimo Giannulli scandal

Olivia Jade Giannulli is speaking out.

The 21-year-old influencer found herself involved in her parents ‘drama when her mother Lori Loughlin and her father Mossimo Giannulli were linked to the college admission scandal, working to bribe their daughters’ way to college.

Since the news of her involvement, Olivia Jade has been relatively quiet, since she explained publicly that legal requirements prevented her from speaking publicly about the matter.

Late last year, she talked about the scandal during an episode of “Red Table Talk”, although many thought she did little to fix her image.

Now, in a new TikTok video shared on Friday, Olivia Jade reflected on the consequences of her parents’ involvement in – and subsequent prison sentences for – the scandal.

The young star sat outdoors in the sun while telling a conversation with “a very inspiring woman”.

“We were talking about … being embarrassed publicly and I thought, ‘Well, my situation doesn’t even compare, I’m not going to start comparing it to yours,” she said. “She looked at me and said, ‘Olivia, it doesn’t matter if I’m drowning in 60 feet of water and you’re drowning in 30. We are both still drowning.'”

Olivia Jade did not reveal the identity of the “very inspiring woman”.

“I think about this quote every day because I think it is so true and it is a much bigger message for our world now,” continued the personality of social media. “I think we are all very quick to judge, I think we are all very quick to demote people and I just want them to remember: if your feelings are hurting, or if they are valid for you, they are valid.”

She added: “It doesn’t matter if someone is going through the worst, you can go through difficult times in this world. But that doesn’t take away from anyone and should take away from you. We are all human beings.”

Loughlin, 56, completed his prison sentence while Giannulli is still serving his own sentence. The two were sentenced to several hours of community service, fines and supervised release.
