Nick Jonas is doing double duty this weekend as a host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, but if for some reason he is unable to perform his musical duties, Bowen Yang and Ego Nwodim can replace him at any time. In promoting the episode that airs on February 27, Nick Jonas is flanked by Yang and Nwodim, who flooded the younger JoBro (excluding Bonus Jonas) with words of encouragement that he may or may not need before the big night. “I think I already did that because I am a very successful music artist?” Jonas asks the unconvinced SNL cast. “Pretend to do it,” says Yang, like an old professional. In the next clip, Yang and Nwodim are shocked to discover that Nick Jonas would be the musical guest the same weekend that they release their own single, “You Idiot”. “Kiss me, you idiot. Love me, you idiot. Stay funky, you idiot ”, sang the musical duo for a perplexed Jonas. Jonas left soon after, but the music was music to our ears.
