Nick Cannon is getting back to work.
Cannon, 40, is returning as a host for VH1’s “Wild ‘N Out” after controller ViacomCBS fired him over the summer for making anti-Semitic comments on his podcast, “Cannon’s Class”.
In the episode, the host of “The Masked Singer” stated that blacks are “the real Hebrews” and made reference to anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about “Zionists” and the Rothschild family.
“It is never hate speech, you cannot be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people,” said Cannon. “When we are the same people that they want to be. This is our birthright. We are the true Hebrews. “
He subsequently issued a public apology and met Rabbi Abraham Cooper and other prominent members of the Jewish community to educate themselves.
“Nick not only apologized and took responsibility for his comments, but he also worked to educate himself and others through involvement with Jewish leaders and on their platforms,” an MTV Entertainment Group spokesman told Entertainment Tonight. .
“These efforts are extremely important and that is why we invite you to return to our team.”
In August, ViacomCBS said it was “hopeful” that it would work with him again after his apology day.
Earlier this week, Cannon announced that Debmar-Mercury revived its eponymous daytime talk show after stopping it in July.
