New iPad Pro with ‘A14X’ chip and Thunderbolt to arrive in April

The next generation of Apple’s iPad Pro is due to debut in April with a huge performance boost, Thunderbolt compatibility and, for the larger screen model, a Mini LED screen.

Although the 11 and 12.9-inch tablets have a design from 2020, Apple could incorporate new internal technologies like Thunderbolt connectivity. The fastest I / O protocol was implemented in tests and can reach production models for compatibility with external hard drives and fast monitors, says the report.

Finally, Apple is working to incorporate Mini LED technology into the largest 12.9-inch iPad Pro, offering better local dimming, color reproduction and contrast ratios than conventional LCD screens.

In addition to the iPad Pro, today’s report states that Apple is developing a thinner and lighter iPad for launch later this year, as well as a mini iPad update with a larger screen.

As usual, most Bloomberg’s the information echoes predictions from previous months, first presented by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and other industry experts. In September, Kuo said the iPad Pro would be the first Apple device to benefit from the Mini LED, while a Mac Otakara January report stated that the technology would be limited to the larger 12.9 inch model. Earlier today, a report from DigiTimes suggested that a Mini LED iPad Pro would be launched in April at the earliest.

Apple is likely to present the new iPad Pro line at a special event in the coming weeks, although the company has yet to announce such a meeting.
