New Ford ad says Bronco Sport was created by mountain goats

The Ford Bronco Sport meets many of the right requirements for enthusiasts: it looks good, drives well (as we learned firsthand) and is as capable as its brand suggests. But if you still weren’t convinced of Bronco Sport’s off-road capabilities, perhaps these new commercials will make you rethink that. To emphasize the fact that the little sport-ute is almost as capable as its older brother Bronco, Ford launched three new ads focused on the SUV’s resistance.

The first ad, which airs later in the afternoon during Fox’s NFL Wild Card game, is fun. It’s called “Raised By Goats” and, in the one-minute commercial, we see a group of mountain goats teaching a young horse to deal with some of nature’s most difficult conditions. Mountain goats in this case represent Bronco Sport’s “GOAT” driving modes – or “Goes Over Any Terrain”.

The next two ads – the first titled “Go there” and the other called “Find your wild” – focus even more on the robust skills of Bronco Sport. The commercials promote things like Bronco Sport’s ability to carry bicycles, tents and more, as well as its ability to tackle difficult terrain. Both ads will debut later this month, the first to air during Good Morning America on Jan. 11.

The Bronco Sport comes standard with two engine options, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharger and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, both borrowed from the Escape. The old three-cylinder engine produces 181 horsepower (135 kilowatts) while the 2.0-liter turbo produces 245 horsepower (183 kW) more robust – both paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you want a Bronco Sport, the little off-roader is already at dealerships and costs $ 26,820 to start.
