The site says it spoke to an unidentified Netflix employee in the United States, who said support for space audio is in the works.

The rumor has not yet been confirmed by another source, but iPhoneSoft says the feature is scheduled to launch in the spring, with a “small catalog” of titles to begin with.

Spatial audio is an ‌AirPods Pro‌ and ‌AirPods Max‌ feature that brings sound similar to a movie theater to Apple headphones and headphones, making the sound three-dimensional. Spatial audio uses the gyroscope and accelerometer on the PAirPods Pro‌‌ and iPhone to track the movement of your head and the position of your ‌‌iPhone‌‌, comparing the movement data and then remapping the sound field so that it is anchored on your device , even when the head moves.

It’s a feature that works with both the iPhone and iPad, so if Netflix is actually working on support, it will be limited to Netflix titles viewed on one of Apple’s compatible iPhones or tablets.
