Talk about fast food … how about a NASCAR driver leaving the Daytona 500 in the middle of a race to go to a McDonald’s race!?!
That’s exactly what Ross Chastain did on Sunday when a storm delayed the Great American Race by more than 5 hours … just after the 15th lap!
It was clear that time wasn’t going to slow anytime soon, so Chastain jumped out of his race car – and got into his personal car – so he could run over to a nearby Mickey D’s to get some food for himself and his crew.

Oh, he was still wearing his green running suit when he stopped at the drive-thru … and the woman who worked at the window couldn’t believe it!
“AAAAAHHHH did you just get off the track ?!” the woman asked.
“Yes, we are running, whenever it stops raining !!” Chastain replied.
The employee couldn’t believe what he was seeing … saying, “This is the first time I’ve met a race driver!” She even called her co-workers to check it out!
RC explained that he drives McDonald’s car # 42 … so it was just right that he got a huge order – 6 for “everything” for his team and a hot chocolate sauce sundae for him!
When the race finally started again, Ross finished 7th.
Ba ba ba ba ba …
