MyPillow was no longer sold at Bed Bath & Beyond following comments by CEO Mike Lindell about the Capitol siege

The retailer said in a statement on Tuesday that it is disrupting sales of a “series of underperforming items and brands”, which includes MyPillow. Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) said it is part of his broader plan to sell more private labels when they debut this spring.

Lindell, a major Republican donor, said in an interview with a right-wing broadcaster that retailers are “scared” and blamed “left-wing groups” for pressuring them to abandon their product. He said Wayfair, Kohl’s and HEB also stopped selling MyPillow products. The three companies did not respond to requests for comment from CNN Business.

Despite the Capitol violence two weeks ago, Lindell stood firm with his support for President Donald Trump. He called the attack “very peaceful” and blamed the “disguised antifa who dressed as Trump people” for the chaos, according to The New York Times. “Donald Trump will be our president for the next four years,” he said earlier this month.
Lindell was spotted at the White House last Friday with pages of notes that seem to outline a series of recommendations, including installing a loyal to Trump as acting CIA director. He also presented other false conspiracy theories echoed by Trump since the election.
Founded in 2004, MyPillow has grown beyond the sale of pillows and now has a variety of household items and even face masks. The private company has sold more than 40 million products, with “a large number of them directly to consumers” through its website and hotline, Bloomberg reported. MyPillow is a constant advertiser on right-wing TV networks, including Fox News and Newsmax.
The Better Business Bureau currently gives MyPillow an “F” for its confusing pricing and discount tactics. The pillow itself also received low ratings from Consumer Reports because it is very irregular.
