MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, who repeated false claims that President Donald Trump did not lose the election, said retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s are removing their company’s products from their stores.

Trump supporters on social media platforms are now calling for boycotts of retailers, while other consumers are asking people not to buy MyPillow products.

“I just spoke on the phone to Bed Bath & Beyond,” Lindell said during an interview Monday night with the Right Side Broadcasting Network. “They are abandoning MyPillow.”

“I just hung up – not five minutes ago. Kohl’s, all these different places … These guys don’t understand,” he continued. “They are scared. As a Bed Bath & Beyond, they are scared. They were good partners. In fact, I said to them, ‘You guys come back whenever you want.'”

Representatives from Kohl’s and Bed Bath & Beyond did not immediately respond to CNBC’s requests for comment.

A search for CNBC on both retailer sites on Tuesday morning still showed MyPillow merchandise available for sale. MyPillow is also still sold on JC Penney, Amazon, Belk and some other major retailers.

Lindell was criticized for spreading conspiracy theories. Last year, for example, he promoted a false cure for Covid. More recently, he said there was widespread voter fraud during the 2020 elections.

According to a report by The New York Times, employees of Dominion Voting Systems sent Lindell a legal letter that warns of pending litigation over his baseless allegations of widespread fraud involving his machines. Lindell was not immediately available to respond to CNBC’s request for comment on the letter.

Last week, Lindell was seen visiting the White House carrying partially obscured notes that seemed to tell Trump to invoke “martial law, if necessary”.

After Lindell’s interview, where he referred to Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, Twitter users are calling other retailers, such as Walmart, to abandon MyPillow as well.

The country’s largest retailer recently suspended donations from its political action committee for Republican campaigns in Congress that opposed the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
