MyPillow CEO and Trump’s staunch ally Mike Lindell hired attorney Charles Harder to go after the Daily Mail about a story claiming he had a secret affair with 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actress Jane Krakowski, The Daily Beast has learned.
“Charles Harder is the lawyer,” Lindell confirmed in a brief interview on Friday night. “I have never met this lady in my life and I have never been to the West Village and the Hamptons, where they said I was successful.”
Lindell added: “They have done so much damage to my reputation … I am not just asking for a letter of demand or a retraction, I want to go after them with a lawsuit because they have damaged my integrity as a Christian and my network to help addicts everywhere . “He said he already discussed this with Harder, who just hired him, and said the lawyer was working on legal paperwork.
Lindell said he believed in Submit to be another “hit job” that was written because he “will not give up on the … machine electoral fraud” regarding the Trump-Biden presidential election.
A representative for the Daily Mail did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday night. Harder also did not respond immediately.
Gawker’s murderous lawyer, who represented everyone from now ex-President Donald Trump to professional fighter Hulk Hogan, has established himself as a lawyer for offended celebrities seeking to conquer the media. In 2017, Harder helped fight for a settlement and payment for Melania Trump’s Daily Mail, who was forced to recant and apologize for an article claiming she had been an escort.
In what seemed to many as a scrapped plot of 30 Rock, a Submit reported on Thursday afternoon that Lindell – famous for his unwavering support for Trump and the seemingly incessant pillow ads broadcast by Fox News – had kept a secret romance with the TV comedy and Broadway star.
According to the tabloid, Krakowski’s friends were intrigued by the alleged relationship and described it as tumultuous, but according to the Submit, Lindell won her over with champagne, liquor and flowers, and had a “passionate” affair that a source described as an “open secret” in Manhattan’s West Village. (Lindell, however, has publicly stated for years that he is now sober, having overcome his previous struggles with the use of drugs, including crack.) Unfortunately, according to the tabloid, Krakowski used to throw away his gifts and the pair would have split up after a recent weekend together in a rented beach house.
One thing that both parties seem to agree out loud, however, is that the relationship described by Submit never happened.
“Jane never met Mr. Lindell,” said the actress’ aide in a statement. “She is not and has never had any relationship with him, romantic or anyone else.” Lindell told The Daily Beast on Thursday: “I never met this person and I told the Daily Mail that. My lawyers are going after them. “
Since the 2020 election, Lindell had taken a prominent role in the conservative media and in the orbit of the now ex-Republican president twice impeachment to attack the results of the 2020 election, in which Democratic candidate and now President Joe Biden had defeated decisive role in popular votes and the Electoral College. Lindell was the biggest financier of certain pro-Trump legal efforts and rallies that sought to nullify Biden’s victory and maintained close contact with Trumpworld luminaries like Sidney Powell and Michael Flynn.
In one of the last days of Trump’s presidency, cable TV inventor and spokesman MyPillow was at the White House, informing the then president in the Oval Office of documents that focused on a conspiracy theory that China and other foreign countries had hacked the 2020 presidential election to report it to Biden.
That meeting lasted five to ten minutes, according to Lindell’s estimate, and he was escorted out and later discarded in an argument with other White House officials. Asked about the Oval meeting, the creator of MyPillow said last week: “[Trump] he was upset to learn that this was happening to all the people who supported him for all these four years. He said, ‘Do you believe how they are treating us out there?’ “
And although Harder has had several high-profile hits facing the media, including Gawker and the Daily Mail, he also suffered some high profile setbacks in court. As The Daily Beast reported last year, Harder, working on behalf of Donald Trump’s brother Robert Trump, failed to stop the then-President Mary Trump’s niece from publishing an explosive memoir about the family.
