MSNBC anchor Katy Tur announced on Monday that she was pregnant with her second child, while publicizing her company’s maternity leave policy and arguing that all Americans should have access to that program.
Commenting on her program that her ad was skipped by Page Six, Tur said she and her husband Tony Dokoupil were “very excited” to announce the addition to their family. Tur, 37, has two stepchildren with Dokoupil and a son born in 2019.
“I also want to thank all my colleagues and everyone, all of you who supported and supported me so much when I was pregnant with Teddy,” she said, referring to her son.
“Also thanks to my company, NBC News and Comcast. We have an unbelievable family vacation program, something that, as you know, I firmly believe that we should all have access,” Tur continued.

Tur also announced his latest pregnancy during a live broadcast, then playing with MSNBC correspondent Kasie Hunt, who Hunt would now be known as “Aunt Kasie”.
