The Monster Hunter Rise demo will run at 756p in docked mode and 540p while playing in portable or table mode.
Capcom is launching another entry in the Monster hunter series in just a few months with Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch. To whet their appetite, Capcom released a demo for players to familiarize themselves with before the game’s launch in March. With the demo in the hands of the players, we have now seen what specifications we will work with.
VG Tech (via Nintendo Life) took a closer look at the last entry in the series and can confirm that the demo runs at stable 30 FPS, even during the most demanding sections of the game. This is in docked and portable mode.
As for the resolution, you won’t be surprised. In docked mode, VG Tech reported that the game is rendered at a resolution of 1344 × 756 with the UI rendering in 1920 × 1080. In portable mode, games are rendered at 960 × 540 and the UI is rendered at 1280 × 720.
We all know that the Nintendo Switch is nothing close to a technical power. Therefore, these specifications should not be a big disappointment.
It should also be noted that these findings were from the demonstration of Monster Hunter Rise, not the official release. As the game is still a few months away, it is entirely possible that this will change at some point.
Monster Hunter Rise is expected to be released on March 26 for the Nintendo Switch. Be sure to check out the preview of the DualShockers demo for more information about the game.
