This is the heartbreaking moment when a family dog saved his older sister from drowning after she fell into a pool.
The clip shows Luna, a 14-year-old blind pit bull, walking very close to the pool on December 19, before falling and being rescued by her colleague Caipirinha.
Dog owner Julieta Firpo shared the CCTV footage shot in the garden of her home in the city of Sunchales, Argentina, and praised Caipirinha for saving Luna’s life.
Beside the post, she wrote: “Yesterday walking on the patio, she fell into the pool.”

She added that Luna had “started to get lost” and was disoriented in the days leading up to the terrible accident.
The incredible footage shows Caipirinha running instantly to the pool to be next to her sister and make a plan.
Caipirinha tries to rescue his brother by placing his paw in the water and grabbing Luna’s collar.
He later managed to trap the endangered canine before driving it to the shallow end of the pool, which is in the family’s garden.

Fortunately, Luna, who is totally blind, was helped to climb the steps of the pool before leaving and resting after the exhausting ordeal.
The heroic Caipirinha, rescued by Julieta, immediately approached Luna after being introduced to the family during a trip to Brazil.
The owner of the dog – who described Caipirinha as “our heroine” – told the Argentine newspaper Todo Nocitas that Luna’s mother, Syrah, 15, is also blind and has a great friendship with Caipirinha.
She said: “The two are inseparable. Luna is a very old pit bull, her mother Syrah, is 15 years old and also lives with us.”
Luna became part of the Firpo family after her previous owners threw her out of a car window while at a Brazilian gas station.
