As KSKK reports, she found her parents dead in her bed because of COVID-19 on Thursday morning.
“It really is a terrible and tragic thing,” said neighbor Chuck Duy.
According to St. Louis County police, they were both in their forties and died of COVID-19.
Duy said he spoke to a family member about the couple’s death.
“She was positive, but they sent her home and her husband, meanwhile, was at home with a positive test for COVID, so they were both quarantined,” Duy said.
Duy said the couple stayed downstairs in the basement room.
The girl was the couple’s only child.
“Losing both parents at the same time, you know, for an 11-year-old boy, is really tragic,” said Duy. “We are praying for them, they were nice people. We are very happy that they moved to the neighborhood.”
The authorities said there was no reason to believe that there was a crime.
It appears that both deaths were caused by the coronavirus.
