Miranda Lambert shares her gratitude for spending more time with her husband Brendan McLoughlin during the COVID-19 quarantine: ‘It made us really strong’

Among all the uncertainties and tense times since COVID-19 was considered a pandemic last March, Miranda Lambert found a silver lining.

The country music star shared how grateful she is for all the extra time she was able to spend with her husband Brendan McLoughlin during the quarantine months.

The couple had a quick two-and-a-half-month courtship before getting married in January 2019.

‘We didn’t date much before we got married’, revealed the singer during an appearance on The Storme Warren Show by SiriusXM.

‘And then we kind of have to really, really, really get to know each other. Because it was just the two of us, without distraction, on my farm outside Nashville. And I was very grateful for that, because it made us very strong. ‘

The two Grammys winner, 37, began to share how the coronavirus crisis helped her take stock of what really matters in life and love.

“Many couples, especially many of my friends, don’t really see their significant other because we are in different directions all the time,” she said of the typical scenario for many couples.

“But, with everything that happened last year, I think everyone was forced to reconnect with themselves and the people they really love and who are close to them,” she said.

During the interview, the Heart Like Mine star agreed that being alone as a couple is likely to define a relationship – in one way or another.

“And I said there would be a lot of engagements and babies or a lot of divorces,” she added.

With more time available, Lambert and McLoughlin, a former New York Police Department officer, recently took a plane trip to North Carolina and Georgia.

And often, traveling close can also define a relationship. With that in mind, Lambert shared an instance that has the potential to push his buttons.

‘Backing up [a trailer is] a kind of trigger, ‘she confessed.

‘This will be the only time you have really identified yourself as, one person trying to back up the other, trying to tell the other person how to back up a trailer.’

The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary on January 26.
