The two-hour live stream starts at 2:30 pm ET on the NFL’s TikTok account (@NFL), and is hosted by Steve Harvey and MJ Acosta. The show will also feature Kane Brown, Rebel Wilson and others.
Cyrus’ set is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm (Brasília time) on TikTok, and part of it will air on CBS. The 7,500 vaccinated health professionals from across the country that the NFL invited to the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida, will see the former teen star perform live during the pre-show event.
“I can’t wait to give the NFL guests of honor a show before the game,” Cyrus shared on social media when announcing his performance on January 24th.
In the days leading up to her performance at the tailgate party, Cyrus showed fans how she was getting ready for the set. The star, who released her rock-flavored album Plastic Hearts in November, shared a video of her showing off a pink and black top with the letters “FTW” and a pair of black bikinis. “MILEY: FOR WINNING!” she tweeted along with the clip on February 3 with a reminder for fans to tune in to the performance.
In a second video later that day, Cyrus shows his endurance by running on the treadmill while singing “Rebel Girl” by Bikini Kill at the top of his lungs.
Other artists who will perform at Sunday’s Super Bowl include The Weeknd – which will headline the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show – as well as HER with “America the Beautiful”, and Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church facing the national anthem during the show opening hours, which starts at 6 pm Eastern Time.
