A video that circulated on social media showed a man shouting a derogatory word used for Muslims in Serbia at Ibrahimovic.
“As a club, we have done everything to ensure that the match is organized at the level of the two big clubs and we will not allow a primitive individual to tarnish the traditionally known hospitality of our country and our people,” the statement said.
“Red Star, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, will find the individual and insist that he bear all the consequences of such behavior.”
The match ended 2-2 with Red Star, which was reduced to 10 men, scoring a goal in extra time and winning the tie.
