Migrants smuggled across the Texas River as border crossings increase, video shows

A video posted on social media shows hundreds of migrants waiting to cross Rio Grande to Texas, even when the Biden government insists that there is no “crisis” at the border.

The video appeared in TikTok’s account of “Tripwires & Triggers”, a service started by Jaeson Jones to keep the public informed about the situation on the southern border.

Jones, who previously served as a captain in the Texas Department of Public Security’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division, narrates the video.

THE WORD THAT THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION WILL NOT USE WHEN IT IS THE BORDER? ‘CRISIS’

“What you are about to see are migrants who have just paid the cartels’ burden or tax and an independent smuggling group working directly for a cartel,” said Jones, as the video shows a raft crossing the river with nearly a dozen of migrants.

“You are literally seeing the transfer of a criminal organization, which is responsible for thousands of murders in Mexico, handing these people over to a US law enforcement officer,” said Jones.

A version of the video with no further comments appeared on Twitter.

Jones extensively covered the situation at the border and stated in the video that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials were transferred from border security to the handling and processing of migrants.

The video hits the Internet while the White House denies any kind of “open border” with Mexico.

Press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday that there is “a great flow of children” crossing the border, but she insisted that most migrants were rejected through Title 42 health protections.

“We certainly also recognize why the president and our government have made the decision that the way to approach immigration in a humane way is to allow unaccompanied children to come, be treated humanely and be in a safe place while we are … trying to put them in houses and sponsor houses so that a few more can come to our border, “said Psaki.

The Biden administration has refused to call the dramatic increase in migrants – particularly migrant children, who cannot be expelled under Title 42 – a crisis.

Coronavirus testing at the border also presented a problem, with the Border Patrol not testing any migrants.

The city of Brownsville has tested individuals since January 25, with 204 of the 1,700 migrants testing positive for the coronavirus – about 9.25% positive, Fox News learns.

The number of migrant children detained along the border has tripled in the past two weeks to more than 3,250. CBP recently reported that it found 100,441 individuals in February, an increase of 28% over January. Of these, 9,457 were unaccompanied children (UACs).
