Last October, Microsoft launched tab sync between devices for users on its insider Edge Dev and Canary channels. Tab synchronization is not a new thing in the browser world; Google Chrome and Apple Safari offer. Only mefill your tabbed browser, then sign in on another device and open the same browser with the same tabs. Now this feature is finally available for those using the Edge, and can be a compelling reason to switch to Microsoft’s browser.

Tab sync Edge versioning it works almost identical to Chrome: enter your profile, activate sync and you’re done, done. You can also browse as a guest and add multiple profiles, which is especially useful if you use different email addresses on the same computer, but do not want the same tabs, or even favorites, to appear in different accounts. Each account also opens in a new browser window, just like Chrome.

The new feature also syncs your browsing history across devices – any device, whether Windows, macOS, iOS or Android. Again, this is just like Chrome, but for those who have went getting more worried about them privacy using Chrome, these two great features justify an easy switch to Edge.

Of course, the Edge does not have the added benefit of Chrome actions, That left you use the address bar as a command prompt so you don’t have to go through your browser settings to change anything. But the Edge is faster on macOS and Windows than on Chrome, according to some of our recent tests, and many other features are under development. Microsoft on beta channels has released several updates for privacy, productivity and performance. Some of highlighted features include: analerts if a user’s password is found in an online leak; put inactive tabs to hibernate to free up system resources; and automatic completion of the date of birth field and vertical guides. These, along with all other updates, are scheduled to release the stable version of Edge in the week of January 21

Edge has also improved privacy. this it was not an ideal browser to use before, because it sent an identifier back to Microsoft servers. what shouldn’t be the case anymore.
