Twenty-year-old wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 51, also congratulated Cameron and Viviane when writing: ‘And a new Douglas is born !!!!! Welcome to the Ryder T. Douglas world, ‘while sharing the photo on your Instastory.
In the photo that was originally posted by Cameron on Instagram, the radiant family stood by a window while Vivian rocked the baby while Cameron looked at the camera with his arm around his partner.
Lua, who was sitting in a princess dress, had a priceless emotion on her face and looked totally embarrassed that she was no longer the only child in the family, while Michael joked: ‘Don’t think that Lua is still sure of that! What a holiday gift. ‘
Catherine couldn’t help but notice her unhappy face as she wrote, ‘Moon Face! like ….. ‘whatever ……….’ Hilário! Congratulations!!’

The eldest son of actor Basic Instinct, whom he shares with ex-partner Diandra Luker, Douglas seemed happy to be having another grandchild in his life (he also shares son Dylan, 20, and daughter Carys, 17, with Zeta -Jones).
Despite being born in Hollywood royalty, Cameron had a long struggle with cocaine and heroin addiction during his teens and early adulthood, which eventually led to his arrest.
In 2009, he was arrested in a hotel room in New York with methamphetamine and served seven years in prison (two of which were in solitary confinement) for selling and possessing drugs.
Speaking about his troubled past in his 2019 memories, Long Way Home – which Michael encouraged him to write – he said:
Troubled teenager: despite being born in Hollywood royalty, Douglas’s drug use as a young man had long-lasting consequences and he served 7 years in prison (two of which were in solitary confinement) and was released in 2016
‘I cannot go back and change many of my decisions and the pain and debris that some of those decisions have caused. What I tried to do was to take those experiences and turn them into something useful. ‘
Also crediting the birth of Lua and his girlfriend for keeping it clean and leading a better life for his family, he told People in 2019:
‘Having my daughter gives me a new perspective on life. My daughter is a source of inspiration. I hope she sees that her father has accomplished many things and is doing good things and perhaps she is proud of my journey. ‘
Now that he has a good head on his shoulders and a family to look after – including Ryder – he and his father have become much closer.
