“He was a regular customer who came once or twice a week, and that was nothing we expected,” she said.
Amar said that when employees realized it was for $ 2,021, they went back to the customer to make sure she intended to leave such a large tip.
“We went back to her and asked, ‘Are you sure?’ and she said: ‘Yes, of course, I am very grateful for you and I want to give back … I want to start the new year well and give it to you,’ “said Amar.
“We can’t even begin to express how grateful and humble we are for our incredible customers who kept us in business,” according to the caption in the Instagram post. “Although we are just a small juice bar, we are very proud to take care of our guests, we are not just in the food business, we are in the people business.”
Amar, who handles the company’s marketing, said that she and the employees are very grateful that when Covid-19 was launched, the 30-year-old establishment had to lay off much of the staff and it was just the family working to meet requests.
“2020 is over and 2021 has started well so far!” she said.
Business at the restaurant is almost back to pre-pandemic levels and the family is planning to open a new location soon, Amar said.
