Memphis police search for woman after driving at Burger King to shoot during waiting time

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A drive-through order at a fast food restaurant in Tennessee took a violent turn on Tuesday.

A customer irritated by the delay in his order at Burger King decided to shoot at the restaurant, and everything was captured by the camera.

“Crime is getting worse everywhere now,” said Eddie House, a Burger King customer.

House is disappointed that a woman is accused of shooting his local Burger King, but said he is not surprised.

“More security, more police in the area would probably help,” he said.

Memphis police are looking for the woman.

It all started when she was angry for how long she waited at the drive-thru for her food, police said.

She got out of the car, walked to the drive-through window, started arguing with an employee before starting to shoot, according to authorities.

“I hate that they were impatient,” said customer Dewayne Wilson. “The kids work there. So you know this is it.”

The surveillance video shows officials running for cover, as well as a glimpse of the sniper’s car.

No one was hurt, the WHBQ reported.

“This is kind of confusing, I’m happy that everyone is doing well,” added Wilson.

Memphis police are seeking public help to find the suspect. Anyone who recognizes the sniper or his car should call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-cash.
