Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure marked as ‘useless self-exile’ by specialist | Royal | News

Hugo Vickers, royal biographer of Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Mary and the Duchess of Windsor, said the Duke of Sussex has been “isolated” from the Royal Family since he left life as a royal worker. His comments were made before a summit planned to review Sussex’s real status with Queen Elizabeth II, which would have been canceled due to the coronavirus.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Vickers said it seems unlikely that Sussex royalty, based in Los Angeles, would personally speak to the monarch about his royalty status.

He added: “There should be a summit with the Sussex in March.

“I can’t imagine them coming to discuss this in person.

“He is isolated from his family, the army, his friends, the community. It is a useless existence in self-exile.”

Meghan and Harry bought a mansion in Montecito, LA, which is believed to be worth $ 14 million.

The move came after the Sussex relinquished real full-time duties in March last year.

Mr. Vickers described how Harry was doing “such a good job” as a real worker, praising his time in the Army and work for the Commonwealth as “good for him”.

He added: “He seemed to have found his level and skill. During the NHS applause.

“I thought, after the Cambridges applauded, it would have been great to have heard of him.”

Harry is believed to want to keep his military appointments granted to him as a member of royalty for a year.

But real advisers are known to be concerned with how Meghan and Harry signed multimillion-dollar deals with media giants like Spotify and Netflix.

The advisers reported by The Sun are closely inspecting the contracts signed by the Sussex to make sure that they are in accordance with “Her Majesty’s values”.

Despite business concerns, the latest discussions about the status of Meghan and Harry’s role were deemed “less conflicting” than those in Sandringham last year.

It also follows Andrew Morton, a royal biographer, claiming that the Sussex royalty hopes to return to the UK for the Queen’s 95th birthday, Prince Philip’s 100th birthday and the inauguration of a statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

Morton said that, if coronavirus restrictions allow, Harry “wants to meet face to face” with the Royal Family.

He added to the Daily Mail: “Harry has been in contact with the Queen more often than you think. But certain things you need to be present to rate.

“They are going to need a few weeks. This can be done after April, depending on Covid. “
