Megan Thee stallion helping to rebuild Houston

The NACC will work with Congresswoman Lee to obtain references on houses that need to be rebuilt from online applications through the official Helping Houston Rebuild website. Houston residents will receive help based on critical needs and raffle. Public assessors will assess damage and licensed professionals will assess plumbing, electricity and structural repairs to walls, floors and other damage, while volunteers will remove soaked materials.

“Throughout my congressional district and in Houston, I saw the pain of people who destroyed homes. The historic and tragic disaster that was caused by the freezing and unpreparedness of the Texas power grid caused the loss of lives and displaced families.” Congresswoman Lee said in a statement. “The collective efforts of Megan Thee Stallion, the NACC and the 18th Congressional District will help restore the lives and hopes of people who have not suffered through their own fault. Our goal is to rebuild and restore these homes, which is critical for my constituents to feel safe and secure. Thanks to Megan the Stallion and NACC, and I look forward to working with you on this very important project of restoring people’s homes. “

Houston’s fellow rapper Travis Scott also acted after the state’s historic winter disaster. His Cactus Jack Foundation launched an emergency food program to provide 50,000 hot meals to people with the help of the City of Houston and the Houston Health Foundation. NACC, The Black Service Chamber and restaurant owners helped Scott and his foundation to identify the most vulnerable groups of people in need of assistance.

“It is an honor to join forces with Houston native Megan Thee Stallion to rebuild water damaged homes,” said Pastor Ortega of the NACC Disaster Service. “Our hearts join hers as we help those most affected, especially the elderly and single mothers. We encourage those who can support our efforts, either by volunteering or making a donation.”
