Megan The Stallion is beating reports that say she dropped the charges brought against Tory Lanez in a pending lawsuit over rapper “Savage’s” alleged shooting last summer.
“Don’t you know when it is fake news?” the 25 year old tweeted on Thursday. “You still don’t see an ABUSER choosing with me? The date of the first court was postponed before the inauguration, but I can’t wait until the MF FACTS are published! “
She added in what appears to be a message to Lanez, 28, “Bitch, you shot me AND MY STORY DID NOT CHANGE EB – H YOU GO TO THE CHAIN.”
Inside a separate tweet, Megan wrote: “AT THIS POINT I HAVE BEEN ANGRY! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET. Imagine how I feel waking up every day to see people lying and turning my trauma into a joke? That whole team finds ways to make doubts about my story every week and the media swallows it up. “
Several sources confirmed to Page Six that the court date was rescheduled because of Inauguration Day. The original date was Wednesday, but was postponed to February 25.
“The fake report came from a d-list blogger (I can’t even find their contact) who doesn’t know how to read a lawsuit,” Lanez’s representative told us. “The trial was postponed for reasons of security of opening in all courts. So no, we had NOTHING to do with it. “
A separate source also clarified to Page Six that it is not up to Megan to drop the charges because she was not the person who brought them up in the first place.
“The LA district attorney’s office filed the charges against him, not Megan, so only they could drop the charges,” a source told us exclusively. “But the reality is that he will have to deal with the consequences of his actions.”
Megan repeatedly accused Lanez on social media of shooting her after a dispute in July. However, Lanez has stated that he is innocent.
In November, rapper “Luv” pleaded not guilty to a felony assault charge with a semi-automatic firearm and possession of an unregistered loaded gun in a vehicle.
Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison if convicted.
