Since they met at the 2020 New Year’s party, Bey and Megan have maintained a close friendship that continues to grow. Although they did not come out as normal friends due to the coronavirus pandemic, the stars still approached last year. So much so that Megan seeks Beyoncé whenever she needs some guidance.
The friendship between Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé began in early 2020 when the two met at a New Year’s party organized by the singer of “Halo” and her husband Jay-Z.
During an interview with Variety in August 2020, the rapper from “Hot Girl Summer” opened up about the meeting, sharing that she and Bey got along instantly.
“In the first five minutes of the conversation, I felt like I had known her all my life,” she told the publication. “She treated me like family, and now I feel like family. We talked all the time. “
Megan even celebrated that night by sharing images of her, Beyoncé and the singer’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, from the party on her Instagram.
But the stars kept crossing over there.
A few months later, Beyoncé jumped on the remix of Megan’s hit “Savage”, which was widely praised by listeners. The rapper even got emotional live with the collaboration on Instagram, sharing how unbelievable it was that she managed to work with the singer, whom she and her late mother always idolized.

“It’s really crazy because, like, my mom was a huge Beyoncé fan, and she used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé stuff,” she said, according to Access. “I didn’t want to be like, ‘Oh my God, Beyoncé, my mom and I love you!”

Although it was only a matter of time before Megan and Beyoncé crossed paths, the rapper still can’t believe she is part of the Training inside circle of the singer.
While appearing in The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in December 2020, the rapper from “Cry Baby” said that she is still amazed that she is a good friend of Bey. She also revealed how close to the singer it means to her.
“I remember the first time I saw Destiny’s Child at a show, it was at the rodeo and it was just incredible. And I remember being a kid like, ‘Wow! I want to do this one day, ‘”she said. “And just because you’re from Houston, you need to know what Beyoncé means to us. She is like the standard. So, being able to talk to Beyoncé now, I’m like, ‘Girl! Pat yourself on the back. ‘”

In addition to Beyoncé being someone she has always admired, Megan revealed that the singer is also one of the people she asks for advice.

“I would say that Jay-Z gives fun advice. Let’s say that if I’m having a bad day, he’ll say, ‘Megan, girl, you need to be somewhere driving the boat. Turn up. Come out and have fun, ‘”she told Colbert. “Do you know what I’m saying? He gives me more ‘hot girl’ advice.”
As for Queen Bey? “Beyoncé is like, ‘Look, queen, just get over it,'” said Megan. “She says it in the most pleasant way.”
