Massive Offensive Lineman Trevyon Green commits to UNC

North Carolina once again reached Old Dominion State to increase its 2022 recruiting class. On Thursday, massive offensive striker Trevyon Green verbally committed to Tar Heels. The UNC class has three members and all three are Virginians.

In addition to the UNC, Green, a 6-foot-7, 331-pound athlete from South Chesterfield (Virginia) Life Christian Academy, collected scholarship offers from Boston College, Liberty, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and William & Mary.

UNC originally offered Green in July 19, when the candidate appeared for “Carolina Barbeque”. At the time, he was a 2021 recruit. He finally decided to reclassify to class 2022. Green returned to Chapel Hill for the 25th of January UNC. Then, last summer, Heels was offered again.

The decision to reclassify was due in large part to Green’s physical improvement. He had exceeded 400 pounds at the start of his high school career, which scared many teams. The reclassification gave him time to lose weight. He ended up losing 30 pounds.

In addition to its average three-star rating, Green is rated No. 51 offensive in the country and potential No. 16 in Virginia, according to 247Sports Composite.

Green’s commitment moves the UNC class to three positions and to the top 15 of 247Sports 2022 Football Team Rankings.

Green joins a class that already included Old Dominion State products Tychaun Chapman and Tayon Holloway.

North Carolina is leaving an 8-4 season and vacating the Orange Bowl in Mack Brown’s second season at Chapel Hill. Tar Heels signed the Nation’s 14th recruiting class in December, which included two strikers: Eli Sutton and Diego Pounds.

“IIt’s a tremendous boost to recruitment, “said Mack Brown at the end of the 2020 season.” Children want to play with programs that are on the rise. And this is it, they know it and our guys are having fun. Our guys brag and are teaching. I am so proud of them. That’s what makes recruitment easy. Because people see a program they want to be a part of. And they saw that we had some adversities that came up just before the bowling game. Our guys didn’t care. Our coaches didn’t care.

“At the moment, we’re analyzing these numbers a lot, because now you have to recruit the guys who can beat Notre Dame and recruit the guys who can beat Texas A&M. last year or the year before, because we are looking at a different set of goals. And this is very important for us to move forward. ”
