Marilyn Manson denies allegations of abuse by ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood

Marilyn Manson denies allegations of abuse. The musician accessed Instagram late on Monday to respond to claims made by ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood, and several other women, earlier in the day.

“Obviously, my art and my life have always been magnets for controversy,” wrote Manson. “But these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality.”

Manson said, “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with partners of similar minds.”

“Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to distort the past, that is the truth,” he added.

In a Monday morning Instagram post, Wood stated that Manson, whom she started dating in 2007 and became engaged in 2010, treated and abused her during their relationship, which started when she was 19 and he 38.

“My attacker’s name is Brian Warner, also known worldwide as Marilyn Manson. He started taking care of me when I was a teenager and abused me terribly for years, ”said Wood. “I was brainwashed and manipulated on submission.”

“I’m tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail,” she continued. “I am here to expose this dangerous man and call on the many industries that have enabled him, before he destroys more lives. I have the many victims who will not remain silent.”

Wood also shared screenshots in his Instagram story of posts by other Manson accusers, all of whom said they suffer from PTSD as a result of their alleged experience with the musician. Ashley Walters and Ashley Lindsay Morgan claimed they suffered sleep deprivation, while Sarah McNeilly claimed that Manson “threatened to hit my face with a baseball bat”.

In the wake of Wood’s post, many stars went to social media to share their support and solidarity with the actress, including Rose McGowan, Selma Blair, Mara Wilson and Josh Gad.

On Monday, Manson’s label, Loma Vista Recordings, said in a statement that it would no longer work with him.

“In light of the disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their attacker, Loma Vista will no longer promote her current album, with immediate effect,” says the statement. “Due to these worrying developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

ET also found that Shudder, the horror genre streaming platform, pulled the next episode of Manson from his anthology of the horror series “Creepshow”.
