Mandy Moore is “insulted” after an unidentified publication denied an interview with her about her refusal to discuss a sensitive issue.
Although she omits the identity of the person she refused to speak about, the subject of the discussion was more than likely her ex-husband, Ryan Adams.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Tuesday, Mandy, 36, said his blood “was still boiling” the day after the publication revealed its plans to cancel the interview.

‘My blood is still boiling’: Mandy Moore is ‘insulted’ after an unidentified publication denied an interview with her about her refusal to discuss a sensitive issue
“I hesitated to share this when I received it yesterday for various reasons, but I woke up thinking about it, my blood is still boiling,” she wrote in her account. ‘This is from a publication that reached out eagerly to do a comprehensive article about my life and career.
‘When they were told that I had talked a lot about a certain subject in my life and would not make any more comments (in fact, there are countless interviews that they could do, that story is over and there is nothing more to say), this was the answer we come back.
‘Any comment I make about this experience instantly becomes click bait and gives them the energy and time they’ve been looking for and have stolen from many for a long time. I’ve been in this business for over 2 decades with a lot to talk about and for sure, this publication can do whatever they want, but the message it sends is an insult and, therefore, get in touch with the cultural discussion about abusive relationships, linking directly the value of someone your aggressor.
‘The refusal to interview someone, unless they agree to relive the trauma publicly? No thank you. I’m about to give birth any second and I’m not afraid to draw healthy boundaries. Goodbye.’

Mandy included the original message sent by the publication, revealing her plans to withdraw from the interview after she refused to discuss the matter.
“From our perspective, it would be difficult not to address this in the interview for the subsequent article,” wrote the publication about the subject, whose identity was retained by Mandy in the post.
‘We look forward to doing a supportive interview that describes Mandy’s entire life and career, and part of that would inevitably involve discussing his time with … given the impact he has had on his life and career.

“If Mandy doesn’t want to talk about it, we have to respect that and it would be wrong to proceed with the interview.”
Mandy has actually talked about her relationship with Ryan, who has been accused of inflicting emotional and psychological abuse on women, including Moore.
Mandy was married to the rocker from 2009 to 2016, but the allegations surfaced in a February 2019 exhibition published by the New York Times.
Seven women – including his ex-fiancee Megan Butterworth and ex-girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers – have accused him of abuse.

There were claims that Adams would ‘balance career opportunities in exchange for sex’ and retaliate against women who rejected their advances, sabotaging their careers and harassing them via text message and social media.
Adams was also accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a minor fan, which he denied. He was later cleared of “sexting” the minor fan after an FBI investigation, according to Page Six.
Over the summer, Adams apologized for his ‘harmful behavior’ in an open letter published exclusively by DailyMail.com.

Moving on: Moore is now married and expecting a child with rocker Dawes, Taylor Goldsmith
Responding to the public apology, Mandy told Hoda Kotb on TODAY at the time: ‘You know, it’s a challenge because I feel like, in many ways, I said everything I wanted about him and that situation.’
She continued, “but I find it curious that someone makes a public apology, but not in private.
“I am speaking for myself, but I have not heard of him and I am not necessarily looking for an apology, but I find it curious that someone does an interview about it without actually making amends in private.”
