Gina Carano spoke about facing the reaction of the Star Wars community because of her conservative and anti-mask tweets amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The 38-year-old Mandalorian star, who received criticism after criticizing Democrats for adhering to coronavirus security protocols in November, spoke with YouTuber Drunk 3PO about his controversial social media presence late last month.

The actress also noted that she is not discouraged by critics and remains vocal to prevent them from controlling Twitter and other social media platforms.
“My whole perspective on this is that I’ve seen people being bullied on Twitter from both sides,” explained the former MMA fighter. ‘I don’t like bullying, and if I don’t attend, which I don’t necessarily want to attend so often, I want to make art, art is my passion, but if I’m not present then other people win. ‘

Insisting that she will not be silenced, the Texas-born artist pointed out that ‘many people don’t mind’ her presence on Twitter and she chooses to focus on her fans.

Many tweets point out how their tweets promoting hateful views and misinformation conflict with The Walt Disney Company’s support for Black Lives Matter and the recent statement by Disney CEO Bob Chapek condemning the violent act of protesters on the United States Capitol.
A Twitter user suggested that Chapek review how Carano “shared dangerous conspiracy theories, treated the pandemic as a scam and was openly transphobic”, which they pointed out does not “seem very much in line with” his brand.

Carano was previously called in September for putting ‘beep / bop / boop’ on her profile, apparently mocking trans people who put her / her next to their names.
Another fan, @alderaansben, added: ‘It is more than political differences. She is spewing hatred and violent, extremist ideals, and aligns with white supremacists, ‘adding #FireGinaCarano.
